Welcome to my e-learning platform, where I offer two signature courses designed to support emotional well-being for children, teens, and adults. Inspired by my daughter Nina’s courage during her fourth-grade transition, I created Nina’s Coping Toolbox, an engaging SEL and coping-skills program that helps children build calm, confidence, and emotional awareness.
The characters throughout the curriculum are inspired by the loved ones in my life, from family to friends, making each story heartfelt, relatable, and rooted in real connection.
Deshun, Ray, and Nina are my children, and it brought me so much joy to create a course with them at the heart of it. Their stories, personalities, and real-life experiences helped shape each lesson, making the program warm, authentic, and relatable for every family.
My second course, Discovering Me, was written from my own healing journey. I wanted to offer others the very tools that supported me. Putting my steps on paper through the journal was deeply powerful, and it continued my process of self-discovery and healing. From that journal, the Discovering Me e-learning course was born.
This course teaches you to slow down, listen inward, and honor your emotions with compassion and truth. It helped me release what I had been holding and strengthen my relationship with myself in ways I did not expect. I did not just design this experience. I lived it.
Because of that, I know with certainty that Discovering Me holds the power to change lives. It changed mine.
I hold a Master of Education in Social-Emotional Learning, Mindfulness, and Yoga. I am a Certified Breathe For Change Facilitator and certified in Adult Mental Health First Aid. These qualifications strengthen the foundation of my work and deepen the support I offer to children, families, and educators.
Outside of my professional work, I am a wife, a mother of three, and a proud United States Navy veteran. My personal journey with trauma, healing, service, motherhood, and advocacy guides the heart and purpose behind everything I create.

💜 From My Heart
My work is rooted in a simple belief: every child deserves to feel emotionally safe, seen, and supported. Too many of us grow up carrying unspoken wounds from childhood. I believe healing begins when we gently give ourselves and our children the tools we never had.
One of my favorite quotes by Emily Maroutian says, “Look at your wounds. When you learn how to heal them, teach others.” That truth has guided both my personal healing and the work I do today.
Through every story, lesson, and journal, my intention is to help children and families build emotional awareness, break harmful cycles, and grow stronger roots for the next generation.

🌈 Michael’s Rainbow Adventures ❤️
A Legacy of Love
Michael’s Rainbow Adventures was created with my late uncle, Michael LeRoy Mills, who was my mentor and guiding light. Together, we wrote a story that helps children explore emotions such as happiness, sadness, and grief, reminding them that every feeling matters.
Like the colors of a rainbow, emotions are natural, meaningful, and worthy of expression. This story gently encourages children to name their feelings and share them in healthy ways.
One hundred percent of proceeds from Michael’s Rainbow Adventures support the Healing the Roots Foundation, helping provide free access to Nina’s Coping Toolbox, emotional wellness programs, coping tools, and quiet spaces for children and families with financial need.
